Having spent our first day in Calgary we decided we would call a car rental company to see how much we could get a vehicle for. Originally we had thought we would just do without one but then, once we realized how many great day trips nearby there were to do, we figured having some transport would be good. I hadn’t realized just how close the mountains were, especially places like Banff which I had wanted to go to for a while. Luckily for us, we didn’t really have a set itinerary so we could then stay up in Banff for a few days if we wanted to.
