I was recently reading about wedding traditions because I am just getting started in the planning of my own wedding next year. There are certain things that I want done at my wedding that I have seen before but I did not know about the meaning behind them. I was researching the unity candle stand and the importance of it at a wedding. Obviously it is very symbolic with the joining of the two candles into one flame. What I did not know is that the tradition is not that old and it was probably most made famous and popular by a soap opera wedding.
