I often wonder why conferences do not use online meeting software more often. I happen to see that there is a search engines strategy conference I would like to go to. I don’t mind paying the fee for the conference however I also have to travel there and stay in a hotel. Because I have a family that is obviously difficult to do. I think they should use something such as gotomeeting and allow individuals to sit in on the conferences. I would still pay the full fee yet I would be able to see it from home.Videoconferencing and online meeting software would allow us all to not only go to this conference that but many others. I would have to say that this could only increase the conferences revenue. Unless I am wrong, and I do not think I am, they would make a lot more money. When you think about it they can only sit so many people in a conference room. But if they just a camera they could multiply the amount of individuals watching a conference by 10. A huge revenue boost.
