Every year my company has a group of people come into the office to do an employee development and training.  These programs are very help. We all look forward to the training, and learn a lot. The other day I was talking to the human resources representative, and she indicated they are not going to continue with the training program this year. The company did not think it was worth the cost. I understand the company reasoning because I know they lay off a few employees two months ago. However, I wished they would find some other way to continue the program.
