Effective time management using a log

I always tell my clients that one of the most important factors of effective time management is to know exactly how you spend your time. We all think we know where our hours are spent but when you look closely at your days you’d be surprised how you really spend your time. Keeping a time log is essential for effective time management and the best way to get an exact picture of how you really spend your time. All you need to do is take note of how your time is spent each day. Many people feel that time-logs are a waste of time but I assure you they are not, and you only have to do it for a week or two to get an accurate picture of how you spend your time. Keep this up for a week or two and when you review your time-log you will see where your time is being spent effectively and where it is not. This will help you make the right choices about how to spend your time in the future.
