A Support for No Follow Links

December 31st, 2008 by admin

For nearby ten years a first cooperative move by the major search engines, have unveiled a new indexing command for web authors that they all recognize, a command that they hope will help decrease the link and comment spam that troubles many web sites, especially those handled by bloggers.

The idea of the no follow links attribute that can be associated with links was originated by Google several years ago and pitched past MSN, Yahoo, as well as major blogging vendors. The new attribute is called no follow links, the format rel-“no follow” is inserted within an anchor tag. It will serve as a flag when added to any link that has not been openly approved by the site owner.
