A test drive is a vital component of most purchases of used cars. A test drive will reveal any problems that there is with the engine or steering system, and could be the deciding factor as to whether the car is brought or not. As long as you are fully insured there should be no issue in taking used cars out for a test drive, and it is an opportunity to find out about how the car starts, how it steers and any exhaust issues.  A test drive may not be an option of all purchase of used cars, especially with such things as auctions. Although in attending an auction in person you will be able to see elements of a test drive, as the car is drive into the auction arena.
