Signs of recovery from private plates sales

March 30th, 2009 by admin

Everyone is trying to spot the green shoots of recovery which will signal an end to the credit crunch induced recession. While car sales are still in freefall, showing a 60% reduction in the same period 12 months ago, sales of private plates defy the trend. The last auction raised bids of 3650000 GBP which when compared with January 2009 of which achieved 3300000 GBP and November 2008′s figure of 3100000 GBP would seem to indicate a positive increase in confidence on the behalf of the bidders. Top prices paid are also on the increase with 1D at £285000 beating the last sales top number 1O which brought £185000.
