Until I was 7 years old, my whole life centered around my grandparents.  They even had a bed for me in their bedroom!  They were the biggest, most secure part of my life.  My grandpa taught me all the important things in life like how to spit while we were watering his garden!  Grandma disapproved, but giggled at her little red haired grandaughter trying to spit like grandpa.  Grandpa had been sick for a long time, and died when I was 7.   Then grandma got sick with Lung Cancer.  It was 1980, and chemo-therapy was new, so we (grandma & I) took the travel trailer down to Concord, CA, and stayed in it while she was getting daily treatments.  After her treatment we would take a walk on the beach, I was fascinated by the sea foam I always found there.  I think the walks relaxed grandma.  Then we would go back to our little trailer, and I would color, play and keep grandma company while she recovered from the treatment. 

One day my mom had to come and get me, and take me home because the chemo was making grandma too sick.  I didn’t want to leave her, because I thought she would be sad if I wasn’t there.  Eventually, grandma came back to Sacramento, but had to move in with my aunt and uncle because she was too sick to take care of herself now.  I didn’t understand yet, but the chemo didn’t work.  Since we were a package deal, I pretty much spent most of my time there with her.  Grandma died a few months later, and I was lost.  To this day I miss her.

My grandma fought hard, and used the medical treatments available at that time.  Unfortunately, she lost her fight, and I lost her.  I want to encourage anyone who has lung cancer to fight for your life.  Try everything you can to beat it.  Life is worth living.  People who love you need you to do this.

I was shopping at the mall last week and decided to go into a new store they have, it is an Italian store and they have so many Italian cheeses to choose from. I began a conversation with the owner who gave me a crash course in the various cheeses used in Italian dishes. I had no idea there were so many different cheeses and I especially enjoyed that he allowed me to taste test several different kind. I tasted table cheese, Romano, and mozzarella, they were so good, I bought some to take home. It amazes how someone can learn what cheeses go in which dish!

While flying on an airplane the other day, I saw the most amazing thing. One of the passengers went into cardiac arrest and the flight attendant saved his life. I have seen automated external defibrillators before. I work in a school so we have to keep them handy. Yet, I had never seen one like this before. Defibtech makes an AED that shows you a picture of what to do in an emergency. I have always been scared that I would panic when confronted with this situation. Now I don’t have to worry. I will have full video to show me what to do so I can’t miss a step.

Every year since the children left home my wife and I plan an exotic vacation get away. We’ve been to Europe, Mexico, Spain and Jamaica. We love to travel to tropical climates just because the people are great and the food is awesome.  This year we decided we would take a trip to Costa Rica. We had heard many great things about and we wanted to explore it ourselves. My wife booked our stay at a San Jose Costa Rica hotel. I was very impressed with the way they treated us and I would encourage anyone to visit. I met some really nice people.

What if my mobile phone jammer lost the signal? I think that mine got damaged because it is not blocking the full signal, it kind of hard to explain, it normally would block all signals through out my corporate office but I have noticed that people are using their phones on our second floor. I am wondering about the warranty that is included, does it only cover manufacturer defect and parts? I am interested in adding an extended warranty if possible. There are a few different options I would like to look speak with a representative about before ordering another.

My husband and I are training consultants. We were looking for a production company to produce some training videos for us. My husband and I are planning a trip to the Cayman Islands in November, and we are interested in purchasing custom bags.  We think this type of bag would eliminate the possibility that our luggage is lost or stolen.  The airlines have lost our luggage in the past. It is really a difficult process getting it resolve. It is not only difficult to resolve.  It ruins your vacation.  We do not want this to happen on this vacation.  We will do all we can to avoid this problem.  This is our first vacation in ten years so everything has to be perfect. 

I’m so excited about my new look that I want to tell the world!  My husband surprised me with a gift of money for my birthday that would allow me to undergo LipoMax treatments.  Over the course of time I had developed cellulite over many areas of my body, and was very self-conscious about it.  I didn’t like being seen in anything that showed my upper arms, thighs, or stomach.  I heard about this treatment that helps burn the fat and slim down the body.  I went ahead and had it done, and am so glad I did.  I look fabulous, and am sporting a whole new wardrobe.
